TGIT...

TGIT. Thank God It's Thursday! I didn't do any post yesterday because I did not have the time to do anything, since I was busy taking pictures in the morning from the working place here, and then I took a leave from 10 o'clock to the rest of the day. I spent some time with a friend visiting the Scientific Center and going through the Aquarium. Too bad that I did not bring my camera. I thought it is not allowed, until I saw someone using a camera with a flash.

At work yesterday, I was taking some pictures for documentation purposes, but later on I had to work my mind a bit and trying to find some "inventive" spots to take some pictures from certain angles. Maybe I was good at that but I did a mistake with facing the sun rays sometimes while shooting;

How many triangles?

And guess what? My boss embraced my job with the photos! I'm flattened! (or is that flattered? Well, same yield!).

Been discovering some multiple word make up in my dictionary and it's going to be some hard time to settle down some issues with this. There are even some words that I'm sure I made up before, but yet, I cannot find any traces in my dictionary or in the margins of my draft. Yet, I do remember I made such words. That may cause me some even hard time even after finishing the translation. I'm reaching the limit of 2000 lines for now, and the contents in general should be smaller than I thought because, as I stated before in previous posts, there had been many errors in the numerbing of the lines (skipping some numbers or repeated numbers and so on), and that makes the number of lines lesser than stated before (that is, 3000 lines). More than 15 pages remain on the queue list to be translated with an average of 2 verses per page (more or less), in other words, more than 30 verses are waiting for my translation! Each verse has 24 lines... my hand is going to have muslces and my brain and tongue will play tricks with my own native language. Just imagine that I have to spell check the Ayvarith version after that, and check the grammatical composition! Yes... it is breaking down my back.
After translating three verses today, my brain felt a sudden shut down and I can't continue anymore with it for now. So I'm going to spend the rest of my time until I get out of here with reading, and coping with this silly connection that had been playing tricks since the morning... until the postage of this entry.

Mr Magoo.

I was lucky today that I slept one more hour before the regular timing that I've been into for one week or two now. Still though I'm drowsy but not as much to knock me down on the couch I guess. Thus, I decided to pick up my translation stuff with me today and work on a verse (or a two if possible).

I sent some emails containing the latest images I've taken and processed, as I am getting ready as well to make a back-up of the existing files now which are close to 4GB. In the meantime, I started as well to do some HDR experiments back again on some of the old photos that I've taken since I learnt some new methods now and some new aspects for doing this. As a result I got a new shape for the previously done image:

And, I'm willing to add more hopefully, as I was working yesterday with what I called previously as "The Twisted Tower." Unfortunately, I need model release (signed authorization) to submit such image to stock sites. Despite the fact that such image was taken in a panoramic shot and the real size is supposed to be somehow more than 2 meters long, but I had to reduce the size to the regular 2600px height (regular for some stock sites) to suppress somewhat the level of grain noise (and worked later with Neat Image noise reduction capabilities).

Cat food, cat food, cat food... it is exhausting my budget a bit, and now with 3 new kitten born in the house, I don't know if what I have already is enough. They are a good subject for photography, but I couldn't get much of a nice picture yesterday. The new kitten, unlike the ones before, get scared easily and go on hiding whenever they see me out.
When I got back to my work place with my purchase, you know who was following me with his eyes! Don't you know? Yep, Mr Magoo.

Seems submitting photos to fotolia is really a waste of time...

Greasing The Engine...

The first day of week here, and it starts up with a headache. It was indeed an unbelievable disaster just to open the side door and get into the building and head to my office! All what I did is, instead of waiting for this damn sick old man to open the door in 15 minutes, I just figured out that I can get into the side door and open the inner door of the labs and then be in the main hall to head to my office, and what a big issue was it that they are working on a request to change the lock of the door! Hail Stupidity!

I worked today slowly on the translation and made out only one verse, which took me almost like 3 hours from the early hour of the morning. I think this is the only verse I'm going to translate for today. I hardly put my mood into it and there were some words that I could hardly go around and made up from previous words in the dictionary. I get even sicker when I think that I have to build a website again, or more accurate, a "webpage" that is. I didn't decide yet on which domain shall it be.

I thought of some plans for tomorrow. I won't be here at work, but I'm going to do the fingerprint thing and leave. I was thinking of going to Failaka and get back if the time permits just before the official attendance check-out, but I don't have the schedule for August. I don't know if I'm able to get it today. I can hardly wait for my vacation at the end of september, which reminds me that I have to buy lot of stuff. A suitable suitcase (the type you drag around) and a backpack I think is better than a handbag. I pray so everything goes as smoothly as possible. It is my first time to travel alone, and wished if I have some company... at least to chitchat along the way.

My only joy for the time being is to look for something to snap with my camera and play around with it. I, somehow, don't even have the power to write down my diaries. It was so dusty yesterday and in such weather I feelthe urge to sleep more than usual. I can't remember when I was awake yesterday and I even woke up at 9 p.m. just to sleep again after 3 hours and barely wake up this morning to go to work. One reason why I hate the yellow! However, I would need to stay late tonight to go on for some photo snapping by night, if I was able to. In that case, I would neglect the idea of visiting Failaka at all, but I have to fix my sleeping time so that I would be awake all night until morning time to do the fingerprint sickening thingy.

I was wandering under the dome this morning, again, and I feel that I didn't take my enough from snapping at this glass work. I might do it again some time later. I'm spending the time in my office right now, trying to write something extra for my story on writing.com. This is better than working in a useless job, and useless place like this college, which has useless future.

The Engine Started!

Finally, I got the guts to start with the translation. Here, I'm going to adapt a new technique in working. I won't translate the whole thing and then do th transliteration, but instead, translate one verse (24 lines) and do its transliteration after. As for the new words that accompany the process of the translation, I think I shall add them later on, specially that I don't know what shall be the future of my homepage in GeoCities.

I don't have much time to type this and translate more but at least I finished translating the first verse in the story, and I'm going to do the transliteration right away, or back at home, when I'm in mood! My process was so slow that I took one hour to translate the 24 lines! I think after some time and work, everything shall be flowing easily I presume.... Hopefully!
